The Exchange Club of West Chester is proud to adhere to the same Principles
as the National
Exchange Club, and our Programs of Service reflect one or more of
these ideals. Through the sponsorship of numerous activities, we help to improve the
quality of life in our community, while helping others and encouraging camaraderie
and fellowship:
A.C.E. Award
The A.C.E. Award (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence), is awarded to high school students who have overcome great physical, emotional or social obstacles so as to change their attitude and performance positively in preparation for graduation. It is also a national award, with individual Exchange Clubs submitting their top A.C.E. winner to district competitions, the winners of which then compete for the National A.C.E. Award. |

The Karen Best
Citizenship Award
This award honors middle school students who work hard at demonstrating good citizenship at home, in the classroom and in their community. Recipients of the award, for which scholastic, athletic or artistic acumen are not a prerequisite, are selected by their classroom teachers. Its objective is to show young adults at an impressionable age that their good conduct and helpful behavior is recognized, appreciated and rewarded, and encourages their utilizing and building upon those qualities as they mature.

Youth of the Year Award
This is one of the most popular Exchange youth programs. It recognizes hard-working high school students who have distinguished themselves by attaining high levels of scholastic achievement, community involvement and leadership. It is also a national award, with individual Exchange Clubs submitting their candidates to district competitions, the winners of which compete for the title of National Youth of the Year. This program not only rewards outstanding young people, but it encourages others to strive for equally high levels of achievement.
