FUNDRAISERS

Our major fund raisers are:

Restaurant FestivalThe James L. Mosteller Comedy & Magic Spectacular is sponsored by the the four Exchange Clubs in Chester County. It is usually presented in March of each year and can feature artists who have performed on as many as five continents with talents ranging from magic, juggling and comedy to ventriloquism, illusion and simply first class entertainment. It's a very fun evening of family fare which can be thoroughly enjoyed by all ages..

The annual golf outing is held in May at a nearby golf club. Our club sponsors the outing, which is played in a "scrambles" format from a shot gun start, with final scores adjusted for the players' handicaps. (All those without a handicap receive an automatic 30). Included in the price of admission is a bagged lunch, beverages, dinner and prizes for the top foursomes.

Bingo is held every Tuesday evening (with few exceptions) at the West Chester Area Senior Center located at 355 East Union Street (610-692-2659). Our club and the Senior Center co-sponsor the bingo and share equally in its benefit. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.and the games begin at 6:00 p.m. Food can be purchased from the Senior Center kitchen. The last game is played at about 9:00 p.m.

Restaurant Festival The West Chester Restaurant Festival is held annually on the 3rd Sunday in September from noon until 5:50 p.m. It is attended literally by thousands who stroll leisurely down streets closed to vehicular traffic looking at booths set up by the restaurant merchants who cook and sell their food specialties ranging from Chesapeake Bay crab cakes to corn dogs. There is live entertainment, a "beer garden" with tables and chairs for those wishing to enjoy a beverage and converse easily with friends, and a multitude of other booths with merchants selling their wares. Our Exchange Club operates three booths at this festival where we sell bottled water, soft drinks and Philadelphia pretzels. We also are the gate keepers to the beer garden, where a small fee is charged for entrance.
