Sponsorship Opportunities

Child Abuse is one of the most brutal and traumatic events in the life of a child. In our troubled economy, it’s more important than ever to look past our own comfort level and extend a helping hand to those most vulnerable in our community. Chester County received 809 reports of suspected child abuse in 2008 alone. Of those reports, 79 cases were fully substantiated.

Children who have been abused often feel as if they live alone in a dark hole. Imagine the trauma of a seven year-old child who has been sexually and physically abused over several years. How will this child ever feel secure and safe, and trust that there is a better way to live, to learn that they deserve a life where there is love and care?

The Exchange Club Family Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (ECFC) and its Volunteer Parent Aide Program provide parenting support to families dealing with these stressful situations, with minimal resources. Many of these are families in which a single mom works for minimum wage, studies at night to get her GED, gets to the grocery store on public transportation, and puts her children to bed at night on mattresses on the floor. Help us to help them!

Each year ECFC holds one major fundraiser to support families who need your help - the James L. Mosteller Magic and Comedy Spectacular. It will be held on March 6, 2010 at East High School in West Chester. This show, now in its fifteenth year, provides wonderful family entertainment - live, professional talent will thrill the kids and amaze the adults!

Won’t you please help us by being a sponsor of this event?
